Posted on 12.31.2015

Pretty much everybody you know, if you're in the realm of digital business of any nature at least, has experience with Google Analytics. There are, of course, numerous other analytics solutions on the market (some better and some worse) but it has long been a popular (if not preferred) solution and that alone makes it important to be familiar with its many functions - including custom reporting.

Custom reports is a report that the GA user creates on their own, selecting the dimensions and metrics to include and how they should be displayed. There is plenty of documentation available about how to create and manage custom reports in Google Analytics, but what most don't know is that there are thousands of pre-built custom reports already available in the Google Analytics solution gallery. If you're looking to expand your reporting capabilities, let this be your first stop.

Here are a few popular custom reports available for Google Analytics that are sure to reveal some meaningful information about your business and brand's digital performance:

+ Occam's Razor Awesomeness: A collection of top segments, custom reports and dashboards provided by renowned analytics expert Avanik Kasuhik.

+ Audience Snapshot: Provide an overview of website users including their physical location, their level of egagment and the devices they are using to access the site.

+ SEO Dashboard: View top landing pages by goal completions, along with long tail keywords with conversion and bounce rate.

Google analytics users will find many other reporting dashboards in the solutions gallery that can be filtered a variety of ways including categories such as branding, display advertising, e-commerce, engagement, lead generation, social, paid and organic search, and more.
