Infographic: 2016 Conversion-Boosting Design Trends
Chicago-based digital Web agency The Deep End is shedding light on design trends for the New Year.
The agency created an infographic with insights into design and user experience trends to boost conversions. The infographic suggests that full-width images will be a popular trend for boosting conversions, as studies have shown that large images make people stop and take notice. In addition, split-screen layout is another conversion-boosting trend, as it enables visitors to choose their own path as they navigate around the site.
“Most annual trend reports simply tend to focus on visual styles,” says The Deep End’s creative director, Wes McDowell. “In this case, we have identified ten surprisingly useful trends that have either been studied, or show incredible promise to convert website users into leads or customers.”
It is important to note, however, that while the trends highlighted are popular right now, Web professionals should be careful of what design changes they implement on their own site.
“Just because it’s a trend doesn’t mean you have to use it,” says McDowell. “Web design should be very customized to your specific business needs. One size doesn’t fit all, so just make sure it makes sense for what you’re trying to achieve with your site before adding it in.”
