Inject Your Blog with Energy
There are many blogs out there that I see that either simply stop over time for one reason or another. Whether it is because the owner just gives up or some other reason it is important to realize that blogging takes time to be successful. You have to put some juice back into the life of your blog if you want it to really be thriving. A successful blog is a journey with many different changes and tweaks. You don’t just launch a blog and think that it will grow by itself; you need to give it a little shove.
Get Creative: Try incorporating something on your blog that your industry doesn’t have on the other industry leading blogs in the space you are targeting. Maybe you can do a giveaway or a monthly raffle to give people a new chance to come over to your website or something very specific to your niche.
Personality: If you look at all the most successful blogs out there they all have a particular voice or personality. A personality on your blog will allow you to stand out a bit from the crowd. Giving your blog a personality might be easier said than done but try to give it a unique voice. Don’t worry about who will read and who won’t just pick a voice and start using it. You will never please everyone.
Make People Visit Your Blog: I don’t mean to twist people’s arms in order to read it but when you write something push it out there through the social networks. How else are people going to find your information? Throw each post into the social networks and see what happens.
Make It Pretty: Give it a little bit of the “cool factor”. People might not complain about your design but they might stick around longer if it was a bit cleaner. People like good design and off course you can’t please everyone but there is such a thing as good and bad design elements.
You’re going to have to do a bit more than just write in your blog if you want it to get the attention it deserves. Treat your blog like a business and continue making changes to keep your audience growing. Over time you will see your traffic and online reputation slowly build as a result of injecting some love and energy back into your blog.
