Integrate Engaging Content from Playbuzz for WordPress

Posted on 7.27.2015

A new WordPress plugin from Playbuzz will enable WordPress users to embed content items such as trivia and personality quizzes, surveys, lists and polls into their websites.

In a digital age where engagement and shareability are highly prized qualities of a digital presence, the plugin will most certainly prove attractive.

WordPress sites can essentially search and find relevant content items (from the Playbuzz network - sourced from hundreds of publishers - as well as their own property) and embed that content directly from within the post editor. Those that use the plugin on their WordPress sites can refine results by content category, format, popularity and creation date. It's even possible to configure and customize the design of the embedded content.

Playbuzz and its plugin also received the official WordPress.com VIP certification which means Web users will likely encounter the company's content formats on popular sites including media companies, sports leagues and even a few Fortune 500 companies.

“Playbuzz has a mission to continue empowering publishers with the best tools for creating, discovering and seamlessly deploying great content – and a large part of that involves continuing to build, improve and maintain plugins,” said Tom Pachys, Co-Founder and CTO of Playbuzz. “We are thrilled to join WordPress.com VIP as a featured partner and offer publishers the ability to quickly and easily deliver highly-engaging content experiences to their audiences. This partnership is another step in lowering the barriers of content formatting and distribution.”

Playbuzz also recently introduced the launch of a new content format, dubbed Flip Cards, which "compel users to click on an image to reveal what lies on the other site." PlayBuzz calls it an "alluring way to discover information, marrying the depth of articles with the interactive, revelatory nature of quizzes." The format recently emerged from beta after being tested by publishers including Distractify, The Independent, Bild, Endemol Beyond USA and Terra Portal.
