Intershop Adds Order Management to Its Commerce Suite

Posted on 6.01.2016

E-commerce solutions provider Intershop has added order management to its commerce suite as a way to help both B2B and B2C merchants enable seamless shopping experiences across channels.

The Intershop Order Management system helps merchants deliver a customer-centric and integrated omni-channel commerce experience. The solution connects all parts of an order process, as well as automates and streamlines the lifecycle of orders, payments and invoices across all channels.

It is important to note that the omni-channel element provides merchants with real-time visibility into customers’ purchasing behavior, stock levels, payments and more across customer touchpoints. This information enables merchants to respond with individualized offerings and services for better customer satisfaction and higher revenues. Regardless of the channel a customer decides to shop on, the Intershop Order Management orchestrates applications like ERP, POS or warehouse management systems behind the scenes in order to provide a seamless shopping experience to customers.

"The Intershop Order Management solution completes our portfolio of best-in-class solutions for mastering the digitalization with yet another powerful tool,” said Jochen Wiechen, CEO at Intershop. No matter how complex the required processes for seamless order tracking, overnight delivery, or omni-channel shopping are that need to be aligned in the back, Intershop´s Order Management facilitates efficient service and distribution. Therefore, it is an essential contribution of any omni-channel strategy.”

The order management solution is currently available to all merchants across the globe. Key features of the solution include enterprise inventory visibility, omni-channel order capture, order routing and fulfillment, invoice-to-cash management, after order services, return management and more.
