iOS App Support for Google Wallet Instant Buy
Google is bringing its Google Wallet Instant Buy technology to iOS applications.
The technology, which dramatically minimizes the number of steps in the checkout process, has been available for mobile sites and Android apps since its introduction (May 2013).
Google has been working early with select partners including Rue La Lab (a curated online boutique), Eat24 (a food ordering/delivery service) and Fancy (a crowd-curated digital storefront) to integrate Instant Buy into their iOS apps.
All three companies experienced positive results from integrating the API on their Android apps: RueLaLa saw a 4x increase in purchase conversion, Eat24 an 11 percent higher average order value for Google Wallet users, an Fancy experienced a 20 percent conversion increase on mobile and desktop sites, as well as their Android app.
