iPad Searchers Behaving Differently
Advertising network Chitika recently explored the different behaviors of iPad users vs. consumers on desktops and personal computers. When it comes to viewing Google search results, Chikita found that iPad users are more likely to scroll past the first few results than are desktop and laptop users. Only 20 percent of iPad users click on the top search position as compared to 34 percent of PC users, the study revealed. Whether due to the touchscreen interface or the fact that the search behaviors of tablet users are less established than desktop and laptop users, iPad owners are more willing to scroll down and even go through multiple pages to find the answers to their queries.
