Is Google Taking Away From Your Search Traffic?
For websites looking to drive additional traffic, search engines, and Google in particular, are your best friends.
The search goliath processes more than one billion queries per day, constantly delivering valuable search traffic to websites.
However Google’s latest feature may actually take away from the amount of visitors that websites are receiving.
Now, when users search for a song on Google it will display the lyrics at the top of the search engine results page (SERP) in an answer box accompanied by a link to download the song in the Google Play store. This latest change to the SERPs will negatively impact sites that count on song lyrics to drive website visitors because users will no longer need to go any further than Google’s SERPs to find their lyrics.
