It's Time For Small and Local Business to Join the Consumer Conversation

For small and local businesses, developing deep bonds within the community is a must in order to be successful.

Gabstr, a mobile group messaging app, has announced the launch of a new feature called Gabstr for Business. The young company, started in 2013, enables people who are within close proximity to each other to communicate based on shared interests without having to know one another.

Gabstr for Business will allow for two way communication between current or potential customers and businesses about upcoming products along with ongoing promotions and deals. The best part about this new feature for small businesses is that everybody they are communicating with through it are local. By using the app small businesses will be able to extend their reach within the community that they rely so heavily on.

The app works by taking the users location and placing them into a “hub” which is a sectioned off quadrant of their surrounding area. Within each hub there are different groups and conversations that users can join and participate in.

The new feature will be available exclusively in San Francisco starting June 1.
