Klout On the Auction Block?

Posted on 2.12.2014

On the heels of releasing a content sharing platform, Klout is apparently ready to sell, with reports that social customer experience management solution Lithium Technologies may acquire the company for upwards of $100 million.

Klout is best known for its Klout Score, a measurement that is calculated from numerous factors including the level of engagement a users' social media posts receive.

Lithium Technologies is likely not as interested in Klout Score or its new content sharing platform as much as it is the company's 200,000 clout-obsessed users.

CNN indicated the sale is likely to be mostly in stock should it happen as Lithium is preparing for an IPO.
