Know How Consumers See Your Emails
With such a massive amount of emails sent daily it is important for marketers to know how these emails are being seen in order to better execute their marketing strategies.
Knotice, a cloud-based data management platform, has released a report on mobile open rates for emails in 2013. The report delves into open rates specific to device type as well as the device's operating software.
Among the most interesting findings was that the consumer services, hospitality and financial services industries saw their mobile email open rates jump more than 50 percent during the second half of 2013 to 54.76 percent, 54.48 percent and 51.60 percent respectively. Conversely, the industries with the lowest mobile open rates overall were Health Care, Association (e.g. non-profits) and B2B at 24.70 percent, 35.32 percent and 37.59 percent respectively.
Additionally, Knotice found that 41.36 percent were opened on an iOS device while just 6.16 percent were opened on Android devices in the second half of 2013.
With the amount of emails sent every day expected to rise over the next four years, it will remain important for marketers to stay up to date on how consumers are seeing their messages in order for them continue to improve their strategies.
