Learn to Code on Anytime, Anywhere with Code School

Posted on 10.29.2014

As the world becomes more computer focused and advanced technology skills become a higher priority for prospective and current employees, many websites have emerged to offer help and guidance to those looking to enhance their skills - even those on-the-go skill-seekers.

Code School, a popular website that users can leverage to learn how to code, has announced they have made their services available on mobile devices.

With the release of their first iOS app, Code School brings its unique teaching style to users on the go with a slight hitch. When users leverage the platform on a desktop or laptop they are able to learn the techniques via video as well as screencasts and immersive challenges meant to simulate real-world coding experiences.

However, Code School decided that due to the depth of testing in challenges that the best way for users to complete the challenges is through their in-browser code editor on desktops and laptops.

“Learning takes time, and more and more people want to learn while they’re on the go,” states Code School’s blog post announcing the new app. “With the new Code School iOS app, you can take our course videos with you and watch them when it’s most convenient. When you log into your Code School account through the app, you can now stream course videos directly to your device, or download these videos for offline playback.”

Through Code School users can learn to code for Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, iOS apps, Git and more.
