LinkedIn Unveils Showcase Pages

Want to showoff a particular aspect of your company? Perhaps you should consider showcasing it with LinkedIn.

The professional social network has introduced “Showcase Pages”, which are dedicated pages that allow companies to highlight aspects of their business in order to build relationships with a specific community. LinkedIn launched Showcase Pages to cater to companies who have a variety of brands and products.

“Millions of companies use their LinkedIn Company Pages to share content and opportunities. For our members, the best way to stay up to date with those updates is to follow the companies they’re interested in,” the LinkedIn blog states. “However, some companies have a variety of brands and products. How can you tell Cisco you are particularly interested in their Enterprise Network Solutions, Security Products or in their Internet of Things initiative?”

This is where Showcase Pages come into play. This new feature can be leveraged to share updates about a brand, a business unit or initiative. LinkedIn members can follow Showcase Pages just like they do Company Pages in order to stay current with news and updates.

It is important to note that Showcase Pages are currently being rolled out globally, and should be available to all within the next few days. Company Page administrators can create a Showcase Page by clicking the “Edit” dropdown menu and selecting “Create a Showcase Page”. Before doing so, however, the administrator should identify an area of their company that would benefit from a Showcase Page. After the page is created, companies can start sharing content from the page and monitor its performance through LinkedIn’s analytic tools.
