Living Up the to the Hype
LinkedIn made a huge statement to the Web business community with its uber-successful IPO back in May, and by most accounts the newly public company is living up to expectations. Two new studies have determined the professional network to be the most important social media tool for Web marketers. Performance marketing agency Performics reports that 59 percent of respondents agreed that a LinkedIn account holds the highest value for Web professionals, a significant jump from 41 percent back in 2010. Of the 89 percent of Web companies using social media that participated in a separate study from iTracks, 49 percent stated that LinkedIn provides the best return on investment — followed by Twitter and then Facebook.
