Media Temple Expands its WordPress Offering

Posted on 2.26.2015

Media Temple has expanded its WordPress hosting offering, evolving it into a full-featured solution that offers more choices to users.

Media Temple’s managed WordPress offering, which initially launched in March 2014, now integrates with new services like Gmail and the entire suite of Google Apps for Work. In addition, the solution offers in-app WordPress help by WP101 and SIDEKICK. Users also have access to a unique set of Web developer tools, ranging from one-click staging and site cloning to SSH and Git integration.

Media Temple has unveiled four new plans – Personal, Studio, Agency and Enterprise – which are designed to service all of the company's customers that design and develop WordPress sites. Media Temple’s plans provide users with automatic WordPress core updates, daily backups, increased range of storage, a low-end bandwidth option, a revamped onboarding option and several custom responsive themes.

It is important to note that the Studio, Agency and Enterprise plans also come with a free domain and enhanced security features, including secure access with built-in SSL certificate, as well as malware scanning and automated removal powered by SiteLock. Plus, the new WordPress offerings also allow users to easily upgrade or downgrade their plan as needed.

“To address our audiences’ specific needs, we have customized our WordPress offering to run the gamut, catering to independent designers, bloggers and creatives, as well as creative agencies and those running large-scale, high-traffic WordPress installations,” said Brian Kuhn, VP of Product at Media Temple. “With new features and enhancements, users get a highly secure and scalable WordPress hosting solution that is fully optimized to the exacting standards of WordPress professionals.”
