MobiHelp SDK from Freshdesk Offers In-App Support for Android Devs

Cloud-based customer support software Freshdesk has released a software development kit (dubbed MobiHelp) that will enable Android developers to add in-app feedback and support directly within their applications (which could help boost app ratings and drive in-app purchases).

Freshdesk is intent on helping developers capitalize on the increase of in-app purchases. A recent Gartner study actually projected the growth of in-app purchases to skyrocket from 17 percent in 2013 to 48 percent of all Mobile App Store revenue in 2017. That's too big of an opportunity to ignore for Freshdesk.

With MobiHelp, developers will be able to add support functionality inside their app - and with just a few lines of code - which will provide the context developers need (device information, breadcrumb trail, debug logs and more) to resolve user issues "in-app", where and when help is most often needed. Users running Android applications powered by MobiHelp can also browse through solutions/answers to resolve problems on their own, without ever having to leave the app or dial a number for support.
