Mobile Product Discovery with AI

Marketing personalization platform Qubit is rolling out a new artificial intelligence solution that has been designed to change how consumers discover retailers' product catalog when on their mobile devices.
Currently in development, but demonstrated at MobileBeat 2017 in San Francisco recently, the new technology is designed to create an app-like experience that rethinks how visitors discover products and browse on their mobile websites. How does it work?
As you are likely aware, most mobile commerce sites address product discovery through search, mirroring the approach of e-commerce giants like Amazon. It's been done that way for years (since the 'Net inception).

This approach certainly works for visitors/consumers who have an idea of what they are looking for (intent-based), but it ultimately limits the scope of products that can be seen.
Building upon Qubit’s existing personalization platform, the new mobile innovation in development has been designed with a mobile-first approach and AI-driven UX. It includes predicted category preferences, discovery-led feeds, context messaging on each product, and the capability to surface relevant products and categories that adapt as the customer engages further within their buyer journey.

Effective tactics such as social proof messaging and urgency are deployed alongside each product to increase confidence and provide the customer with additional context.

AI stands to be the most disruptive force in marketing and e-commerce specifically in years. In what ways do you believe artificial intelligence will change how Internet retailers deliver their products to customers? Share your insights with a comment below now!
