Mobile Trends to Look for in 2015

As consumers continue to increasingly use their mobile devices for e-commerce purposes marketers must adapt.

UpSnap, a provider of mobile advertising solutions, has released its top predictions for the mobile space in 2015.

According to UpSnap one of the major themes for mobile advertising in 2015 will be location. By having access to location information mobile advertisers can send users highly targeted deals and offers that in-turn will increase the odds of the user engaging with the add. Another major theme according to the mobile ad provider is mobile measurement. Advertisers can only ever truly understand how their ads are performing by receiving performance data. UpSnap states mobile marketers should begin, if they haven’t already, to look at secondary action rate (secondary, highly engaged actions like calls and store visits).

Also, UpSnap also states that they believe manual mobile bidding will be eclipsed by real-time bidding (RTB).

“Mobile has gone from an alternative source for engaging with customers to a critical component of business success,” said Greg Garrick, vice president of mobile marketing at UpSnap. “Companies that understand what’s on the horizon can plan accordingly to ensure they’re leveraging this channel in the right ways to drive traffic and sales.”
