Moz Deepens Link Intelligence with Search & Social Data

Posted on 3.10.2014

Link intelligence service Bitly announced that search and social optimization software Moz will begin using its click tracking technology.

Bitly offers Moz the ability to discover more data from the likes of Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and beyond into the broader blogosphere and online media sites (as well as score and display the information - something which Moz is certainly already quite adept at).

"Previously we were using just Twitter data to understand the relevance of shared content," said Rand Fishkin of Moz. "While that's a great start, our clients are looking for a holistic view. Bitly's click data gives us a much more comprehensive and accurate picture by looking at the entire web and drilling into actual clicks, which is more valuable than simply looking at how frequently content is shared."
