Never Fear Developers, Swift's Blog is Here
After roughly 30 years of Objective-C Apple has developed a new language for developers to use called Swift.
To lend developers a helping hand, Apple has launched a blog dedicated to Swift. The new language was launched at this year’s Apple-hosted World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) and is used to create iOS and Mac apps (the first app to be coded in Swift was this years WWDC app).
The new blog will provide developers with the latest news about Swift and provide hints to those that are experiencing difficulty on their journey with the new language. In their opening message, Apple was quick to announce that the availability of the Xcode 6 beta for download by all registered Apple developers.
Since the opening message, Apple has talked about the compatibility and future of apps that run Swift, restated that their new language can run alongside Objective-C as well as announced some updates to Swift in the new Xcode 6 beta 3.
