Can Mobile Game Developers Monetize their Apps?

As consumers continue to devour mobile apps, developers will need accurate information on their acquisition and retention efforts in order to stay as competitive as possible in the crowded marketplace.

AppsFlyer, a mobile advertising measurement, attribution and analytics platform, and GameAnalytics, an analytics engine for the monetization of user acquisition and retention, has recently announced a new partnership.

Through the new integration, game developers will be able to receive vital insights into both the acquisition and post-install phases of the user’s lifecycle, which will help lead to more accurate information on each user’s value.

To leverage the newly integrated services, users need to first go to the AppsFlyer webpage, open the “Media Source Configuration” setting and then search for “GameAnalytics.” Once in the GameAnalytics configuration page, users must enable the integration parameter and insert the game_key they wish to receive.

“GameAnalytics supports the data intensive games industry with custom made reporting, by breaking player actions into trackable data points, such as completion time per level and retention,” said Morten Wulff, founder of GameAnalytics. “All this data is put into an easy to grasp dashboard, which gives the developers insight into the players’ experience. This allows them to make informed decisions that can positively influence gameplay, increase engagement and monetization.”
