New Magento Updates Deliver Slew of Expansive Capabilities
Merchants are constantly looking for ways to update and improve their websites but are often limited by the capabilities of the platform they have elected to build their site on.
Magento, the most popular e-commerce platform for merchants, has released its latest round of updates to its Magento Enterprise Edition (1.14.1) and Magento Community Edition (1.9.1) that includes a slew of additional capabilities.
The latest round of updates delivers expanded responsive design capabilities, new product swatch features and improves overall site performance and security. One of the new responsive capabilities that merchants can leverage is responsively designed emails. This option will help merchants that are struggling to obtain strong mobile email engagement increase rates and obtain a greater mobile presence.
Also, with the increased swatch capabilities merchants will be able to display a greater amount of information on their product pages like color, size and fabric as swatches on product detail pages, category pages as well as in layered navigation and search results. Merchants that elect to include the new swatches will see their product images automatically update to contain the new information.
