Node.js Gets Stable Update and AppHarbor Beta Support
Late last week, the developers of Node.js took to their blog to announce a new stable update to their software system, Version 0.6.8. This release will update V8 to 22.214.171.124, npm to 1.1.0-2 and fixes some bugs.
Among the changes are:
- A path.extname bugfix with . and .. paths
- The addition of missing TTY key translations for F1-F5 on Windows
- Zlib binding cleanup
- A numeric key hash collision fix for V8
Additionally, but unrelated, .Net Platform-as-a-Service provider AppHarbor, spurred by Microsoft's support of native Windows implemention with Node.js, announced beta support for the software system and the ability to run Node.js applications using the AppHarbor service.
