Offer Customized Coupons in Exchange for Social Shares

Posted on 4.17.2016

3dcart has teamed up with social marketing app Coopt to help merchants incentivize social sharing.

Through the partnership, merchants leveraging 3dcart can use Coopt Campaigns to offer customized coupons to customers in exchange for sharing their store or products with friends on Facebook. This feature can help merchants drive more traffic to their site and product pages. What’s more, reward coupons can increase purchases from existing customers and increase customer loyalty.

"Coopt Campaigns is a must have for anyone interested in gaining social traction and traffic on Facebook,” said Chris Burley, co-founder of Seedles, an online store that sells colorful wildflower seed packages. “The app allows potential customers to get a discount on their next purchase by sharing your store or specific products to their friends on Facebook.”

The social incentives are shown to customers, prompting them to share the store or products on Facebook. The prompt includes an offer for a coupon that is created by the merchant in Coopt. When the customer shares, Coopt verifies the action and releases the coupon code to the customer who can then enter the code at checkout.

“Coopt makes a great addition to the 3dcart app store because it engages potential customers on Facebook, one of the most visited websites on the internet,” said 3dcart CEO Gonzalo Gil. “When friends and family endorse a store or product, it sends a powerful signal to potential customers who may not have heard about your brand before.”

Merchants interested in getting started with Coopt can visit the 3dcart app marketplace to find the integration. Then merchants can sign up for an account on the registration page, customize the campaign with the discount amount, dates active and the prompt to be delivered to customers. Then a link is generated that can be shared with customers via email, social media, advertisements and more.
