Offline Viewing Coming to YouTube
Soon, YouTube viewers will be able to watch videos offline via mobile apps.
Google’s video-based social network announced that this feature will be made available later this year in an effort to help its partners gain more views. With the feature, users will be able to add videos to their device for offline viewing at a later time.
“Your fans’ ability to enjoy your videos no longer has to be interrupted by something as commonplace as a morning commute,” the YouTube Creators blog states.
The update is slated to launch in November, and could prove to be very valuable for brands looking to increase their views on the social network. It is important to note that this feature is part of ongoing updates from YouTube. In fact, the company just launched a variety of features in August to help partners grow their channels, including live streaming, series playlists and external annotations.
