PayLeap Brings Debit Processing to Ecwid Merchants

Posted on 3.20.2014

Ecwid merchants have a new payment processing option available, thanks to a partnership between the e-commerce platform and Acculynk.

The integration enables Ecwid merchants to start accepting payments online through Acculynk's payment gateway, PayLeap. Through PayLeap, merchants can securely accept payments over the Internet and other payment applications where credit cards are not physically present at the point of sale, such as mail and phone orders, call centers and recurring billing. It is also important to note that PayLeap offers AccuLynk’s Internet PIN debit feature, which enables small- and mid-market merchants to accept PIN debit transactions over the Web.

“Small- and medium-sized merchants need payment flexibility, and PayLeap’s PIN-based debit card payment plan provides an additional, innovative option, while making the process quick and easy,” says Jim O’Hara, president of Ecwid, Inc. "Further, PayLeap gives our merchants peace of mind through enhanced security measures and lower processing costs.”

In order to leverage the new payment processing feature, Ecwid merchants need to set up an account and create a transaction key within PayLeap. Then, merchants can choose PayLeap in their Payment Processor settings to begin using the feature.

“We’re very excited to be working with Ecwid by providing unique value for Ecwid merchants,” said John Chandy, general manager of PayLeap. “PayLeap allows merchants to accept PIN debit cards and ATM-only debit cards on their websites in addition to traditional credit and debit cards. Merchants love PIN debit because it lowers their fraud risk and transaction processing costs and customers love the convenience and security of PIN debit online.”
