PayPal Fingerprint Authentication in Focus
Payment service Paypal is introducing a new feature within its mobile app that brings fingerprint authentication to the new Samsung Galaxy S5 device.
Consumers will be able to log in with their fingerprint and shop at merchants that accept PayPal on mobile websites, mobile apps and within physical stores as well. Fingerprint login is available in 25 markets globally at the current time.
Samsung Galaxy S5 users who use the PayPal app will receive $50 USD or more in offers at several merchants that accept PayPal.
PayPal also indicated that its app is also available on the Samsung Gear 2 and Gear Fit. Using the PayPal app, Samsung Gear 2 owners can check-in to pay at local stores, save and redeem offers, check their balance and receive payment notifications.
