Personalization and Product Prioritization with Evergage SmartHistory

Evergage, which provides a suite of Web personalization solutions, has announced a new tool that provides website visitors access to the product pages they previously viewed based on their prior level of engagement.

Positioned as a "shopping companion," the Everage SmartHistory solution (a retailer-branded "smart bar") essentially shows customers the products that were of most interest to them (based on an engagement scoring algorithm that factors in time spent reviewing product details or interacting with product images) without forcing them to add items to a cart or "favorite" them in an attempt to remember the product they viewed and may want in the future. This enables online retailers to deliver a better shopping experience in general and gather some useful insights about consumer behavior.
