Postal Zero Day - May 14 Coming Soon

Posted on 5.02.2007
Ebay Sellers and online merchants shipping goods will be interested to know that the new postal rates may make flat-rate priority mail boxes less expensive. The Postal Regulatory Commission had inititally recommened an increase to $9.15 from the current $8.10 charge, but the new rate comes in at slightly less than that.  The cost to mail flat-rate priority boxes will now be $8.95 and will go in effect on May 14. There will also be a 17 cent surchage for odd-shaped first-class mail that cannot be handled by machines.
