Product Customization Gets Personal with MediaClip Plugin For Magento

In few other industries is the need for personalization and product customization as great as it is in that of e-commerce.

As small and mid-size retailers struggle to compete with Amazon and the rest, the savviest sellers are turning to solutions to deliver an optimized (and yes, personalized) experience - particularly those whose e-commerce system are extensible and support integration with third-party technologies.

Mediaclip, for example, recently announced the availability of a plugin that will allow its product personalization software to integrate directly the Magento e-commerce platform.

The new plugin provides access to cloud-based solution Mediaclip Hub, which provides the entire imaging infrastructure required to offer the personalization of any photo printed product online. The solution will enable merchants to integrate their storefront, Mediaclip’s editing tool, the shopping cart, and the final checkout process automatically triggering the Hub servers to process files of personalized items in the order for fulfillment.

“Having a robust product customization software is only part of the equation to monetize the growing consumer need for personalization; a well-rounded e-commerce platform that can support various marketing strategies is also key to delivering a user experience that drives sales and builds customers loyalty,” says Marion Duchesne, Mediaclip’s CEO.

“This is why coupling our unparalleled expertise in the personalization market with Magento’s leadership in e-commerce presents online store owners with the opportunity to leap far ahead of their competition and maximize revenues within the booming multi-billion-dollar product customization market.”
