QUICK HIT: AdWords Shows Location-Specific Phone Numbers
Google is notifying AdWords customers that use both call and location extensions of a rather notable change.
For advertisers promoting ads showing a business location, calls may be directed to the phone number associated with that business location - even if a different phone number is being used in the call extension.
The change is scheduled to take effect Jan. 19, 2017.
Google indicated that there will be no change for advertisements that do not feature a specific location (it will continue using the phone number from the call extension).
