Quick HIT: Cyber Week Success
The holiday shopping season is off to a roaring start - at least for those in the digital realm (not so much in the offline world).
MarketLive is reporting double-digit increases in online traffic, conversion and revenues within its customer base. The e-commerce technology company reported Thanksgiving Day e-commerce sales rose 36 percent while Black Friday sales were up 24 percent.
Total revenue during Cyber Week (the 4 days from Thanksgiving through Sunday), year-over-year, increased over 20 percent. Average Order Value (AOV) for Thanksgiving Day alone rose 27.8 percent.
"Many retailers enticed consumers to spend early with 'pre-Cyber Monday' promotions, and many shoppers responded. Cyber Monday has stretched into Cyber-Week, and shoppers are not even waiting for Black Friday. As one indicator, Average Order Value on Thanksgiving Day broke past $200 for the first time ever," said Ken Burke, CEO and founder of MarketLive Inc.
"These stellar online sales results are the result of tremendous improvements in all aspects of online shopping, online promotions, mobile-responsive websites and efficient logistics."
