QUICK HIT: Google SERP Turbulence

Posted on 2.07.2017

Search engine optimization forums have been quite active over the past week, as it appears Google might have made some algorithm adjustments in the way they identify link spam.

Google, of course, didn't actually confirm any algorithm change, but many search result tracking tools including MozCast, Algoroo and RankRanger are showing significant turbulence starting last week.

Rumor has it that Google may have simply improved how it detects spammy links (including those from/within private blog networks) but again, nothing has been confirmed.
