QUICK HIT: Mid-Roll Video Ads On the Rise
In a clear indication that advertisers will put their ad pretty much anywhere, new research from Ooyala reveals that the use of mid-roll digital video advertisements increased 24 percent between February 2015 and April 2016.
Highlights from the research study, include:
+ Some 33 percent of video ads served on the sites examined were mid-rolls in April 2016, up from 19 percent in February 2015.
+ Pre-roll remains the most popular video ad format, though its share dropped from 75 percent of all video ads served in March 2015 to 60 percent in April 2016.
+ Post-roll accounted for seven percent of all video ads served in April 2016.
