Quora's Contextual & Behavioral Targeting in Focus

Quora is quickly becoming one of the best advertising solutions in the social/user market today in terms of the availability of its features.

The platform launched its ad platform last year and it was focused primarily on topic targeting at the time, but now the question-and-answer network is expanding its offerings to include both behavioral and contextual targeting which will enable advertisers to narrow or widen their primary audience targets.

In addition to its website retargeting options, Quora advertisers can also now engage in interest targetng (reaching users who have engaged with specific topics by reading questions, voting on answers, etc.), and lookalike targeting (targeting users that have similar attributes to an advertisers's existing audience).

Quora is also adding new options for contextual targeting. Marketers can show ads on specific questions that are tailored to that content, and even upload their own keywords lists to find matching topics and target multiple topics.

As was available previously, location and device targeting can be coupled with these newer options/capabilities, and advertisers will still be able to exclude certain questions and audiences from their campaigns.
