Real-Time Analytics Gets Mobile with Splunk

There are over one million apps in Apple’s App Store which have accumulated a grand of more than 50 billion downloads.

Since the inception of smartphones, companies have been trying to create new and innovative ways to crack into the profitable market. Whether it’s with a free app that accompanies an online paid service or a paid standalone app, new entries into the ever expanding marketplace are arriving every day.

Splunk has announced their entry into the mobile app marketplace with the release of their free app for iPhone and iPad. For those who have not read our previous coverage of the company, Splunk is a paid platform that provides companies with real-time big data analytics.

Through their new app users will be able to search through data, receive real-time alerts, access and annotate dashboards as well as share reports. Users also have the option to view dashboards and reports offline by exporting them as PDF files.
