Real-Time Chat Platform Too "Cool" for Competition

With so many companies offering the same type of produt it is important that businesses find ways to separate themselves from the pack. One real-time chat platform did this by proving it's just too "cool" for the competition.
Gartner has released its latest “Cool Vendor” report which covers a multitude of categories, one of which is retail. In this year’s report, Gartner has named Needle one of five “Cool Vendors in Retail”.
Needle, for those of you who have not read Website Magazine's previous articles on the company, is a real-time chat platform that helps companies to create a more personalized experience for their consumers through the use of expert brand advocates. Through Needle’s platform, company advocates can interact with consumers in real-time helping to answer questions on a particular product or about the brand in general. Potential advocates are carefully selected by Needle and put through a training program that culminates in a final test that the potential advocates must pass in order to become "Needlers".
According to the company website, brands that use Needle’s platform have seen an increase in their average order values (AOV) of more than 20 percent. Also, retailers that use the platform have seen that 25 percent of consumers will make a purchase within one day of talking to a Needle representative.
“The market is starting to wake up to what shoppers really want authentic, credible engagement. This is what we enable our customers to do,” said Morgan Lynch, CEO and founder of Needle.
