Real-Time Job Skills Trend Tracker
What job skills are in the highest demand?
One Month, a Web-based platform for learning technical skills, has launched JobSignal, a real-time job skills trend tracker.
The solution is powered by Current, an analytics tool from Spinnakr, and mines current AngelList job listings to compile a dashboard of the skills that hiring managers are looking for when filling development, sales and marketing jobs. The dashboard does more than just show the skills that are in demand, but also those that are trending higher and will likely become more important for job candidates.
For example, in late July, the top skills required for developer roles were Ruby, Swift and Python, with the top trending skills being Swift, MongoDB and Redis.
"Coding languages and other skills startups are looking for change so rapidly -- it can be hard for job candidates to keep up with what the market is looking for, much less keep up on their own skillset," said Mattan Griffel, founder and CEO of One Month. "Our JobSignal is a great tool for helping candidates prioritize their own professional development, and make sure they stay relevant and marketable."
