The lure of greater revenue and a wider audience base are just two of the reasons retailers consider opening up their digital "borders," to empower international consumers to shop with them.

The logistics of serving these customers can, of course, be difficult considering shipping policies, payment gateways, local laws and more. When it comes to returns, specifically, sellers would be wise to map out their policies from A-Z in order to set shopper expectations of what will happen in case they are not satisfied with their purchase.
