Search Ad Not Displaying? Try Bing's New Ad Preview Feature

As search marketers look to create and deliver the most effective ads possible it’s vital that they understand not only why there are underperforming but also how to reverse their performance.

Bing Ads has recently announced new features to their ads program designed to help marketers create more effective bids.

Through the new features search marketers will not only be able to see reasons why their ads may not be performing as well as they had hoped but they can also see how changing their bid may impact the results. To discover possible reasons why their ad(s) are underperforming, marketers must enter the “Text Ads” tab in their Ad Preview and Diagnostics tool. If the recommended action is for marketers to raise their bid a small icon will appear in the “Reason for not showing” column.

After selecting the small icon marketers will be taken to a bid suggestion window where they will be able to choose from the suggest bid from Bing Ads or manually input their own bid. Once marketers have entered their bid they can select the “Preview” button to enter a preview window which will allow them to see whether or not the ad(s) in question will appear when the new bid is applied.

It is important to note that the new features only currently work with text ads.
