Sell with User-Generated Content

Posted on 2.23.2014

A new e-commerce solution from visual marketing automation platform Chute is helping brands better leverage their best salespeople – their own customers.

The platform, dubbed Chute Commerce, is a social merchandising solution that enables online retailers to feature customer photos and videos throughout their online storefronts and off-site marketing initiatives. The platform helps retailers discover and organize quality customer photos and images, clear rights to the content and publish it across the Web. In fact, the user-generated images can be used for everything from banner ads and microsites to product pages and photo galleries.

“A visual conversation is taking place with or without the retailer,” said Ranvir Gujral, Chute co-founder and CEO. “Brands need to embrace social merchandising and amplify their customers’ enthusiasm for their products. Those who do will rise above the noise.”

Chute Commerce allows retailers to not only feature user-generated photos and images through photo galleries and social hubs on their storefront, but also through shoppable ads. Plus, the marketing platform offers funnel metrics and integrates with e-commerce and analytics platforms, which allows retailers to obtain real time engagement and conversion data.

“We recognize e-commerce managers can’t waste time integrating new technology or risk site performance. We designed Chute Commerce to be incredibly simple to integrate within a brand’s existing eCommerce platform without impacting site response times,” said Gregarious Narain, Chute co-founder and CTO. “Our solution automates the process to both discover and organize customer photos and videos, which saves our customers time and needless frustration, while giving them nearly unlimited access to quality content to differentiate their storefronts.”
