Sencha & the App Lifecycle

Posted on 4.08.2015

Sencha, a provider of a popular HTML5 desktop and mobile Web application development technology, has recently announced its Web Application Lifecycle Management Platform, a solution that aims to provide Web/app development and IT departments a unified approach to application development - from designing and prototyping, to testing and deployment.

“The current siloed approach to developing and managing applications for multiple devices and operating systems is extremely inefficient and costly, contributing to lower productivity and delayed time-to-market of the critical desktop and mobile apps that companies need to drive their business and connect to their customers,” said Art Landro, CEO of Sencha.

The appeal of solutions such as Sencha (and other JavaScript frameworks) is obvious for many enterprises (e.g. speed to market, consistency of experience) and they've adopted offerings of this nature in droves. More than 10,000 customers (and 60 percent of the Fortune 100) rely on Sencha to develop and deliver their business applications but providing greater support throughout the entire lifecycle is likely how Sencha will stay on top.

“The Sencha Platform is designed to remove the complexities and cost associated with every facet of web application development, from genesis to post-deployment, on every conceivable device used by an organization’s employees, contractors or partners. With the Sencha Platform we’re delivering on our promise to developers and enterprises to enable a single, seamless solution that provides users with the right experience on the right screen at the right time.”
