Web-based ecommerce shipping solution ShipStation is delivering new inventory management features to help online sellers better manage their businesses.

The features include native inventory tracking and stronger integrations with third-party inventory partners. The built-in inventory feature, for example, focuses on tracking, managing and monitoring stock levels, as well as assigning stock to high priority orders and preventing out-of-stock orders from shipping. This feature aims to strengthen merchants' confidence in knowing that their inventory levels are being tracked and that low volume alerts can be triggered.

In addition to the native inventory tracking, ShipStation improved its relationships with existing inventory partners. In doing so, ShipStation can now can reflect inventory levels from selling channels like Stitch Labs and ChannelAdvisor, as well as fulfillment providers like Fullfillment By Amazon. Once enabled, ShipStation can display inventory levels for each product with information flowing directly from partner to inventory systems.

"Inventory management has been one of ShipStation's most requested user features," says ShipStation's vice president of Marketing Robert Gilbreath. "We're extremely excited to provide this solution. Based on the feedback from our early users, our inventory tools are easy, intuitive, and effective. Our inventory partners love the fact that we've made it simple for the information from their systems to flow into ShipStation as it lets them be an even more effective part of the user's workflow."
