ShortStack Serves Up 500K+ Apps
Self-serving Facebook app building tool ShortStack has reached a milestone, announcing the more than a half million custom Facebook apps have been built with its service.
The app-building tool has steadily been growing since its launch in late 2010, including a 750 percent growth in revenue in 2011 and 546 percent growth in 2012.
Since Facebook has become an important marketing resource for brands, especially SMBs, ShortStack is often leveraged to create apps and promotions that help companies grow their social audience base and engagement rates. Plus, Facebook apps can help companies collect data from fans, which can be used in other marketing initiatives to target audience members.
“When Facebook Business Pages launched, the goal was to have a place where businesses could build an online community and bring their customers into their social media circles,” said Jim Belosic, CEO, ShortStack. “Businesses see how important it is to engage with their customers via social media and software, like ShortStack, helps them do that.”
ShortStack enables users to create promotions, sweepstakes, newsletter signup forms, as well as integrations with other popular social networks like Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. The self-serve platform consists of more than 40 tools, 70 templates and includes a library of support documents, videos, references and an email support system.
In addition to having 500,000-plus Facebook apps created with the ShortStack platform, the company also boasts more than 230,000 users. And even though the ShortStack platform is very useful for SMBs, big brands have taken advantage of its service too, including NBC News, NewEgg, AMD and IGN.
