SIM Partners Secures $8M for Local/Social SaaS Tech
When a company gets a multimillion dollar investment its typically something they like to brag about. However when that investment is large enough to double the companies size, it requires something a little bigger than a humble brag.
SIM Partners, a provider of local and social marketing automation SaaS technology, has announced the reception of $8 million in Series A funding. This first round of funding was led by River Cities Capital Funds and Jump Capital. With the investment, SIM Partners plans to make enhancements to their Velocity platform as well as to hire new team members.
SIM Partners’ Velocity platform contains an expansive amount of features like a local content management system (CMS), local search engine optimization (SEO) and a social extension called Velocity Social. With the platforms local CMS, businesses can update their information at any time on any website so customers never see the wrong information. To improve a business’s local SEO, SIM Partners' team members work directly with their information to optimize it for Google’s, Bing’s and Yahoo’s local and map pages. Velocity Social is an expansion of the SaaS platform that helps companies take advantage of social media through organization and reporting tools. Through Velocity Social, companies can block certain words from being used as well as schedule release times for posts and create a location specific post that mentions whichever storefront the viewer is closest to.
“SIM Partners’ Velocity technology empowers enterprise brands with hundreds or even thousands of locations to create and manage their own strong digital presence in a branded, corporate-approved environment,” says Rob Heimann, director at River Cities Capital.
