Simplify Video Streaming with Vimeo's Distribution Workflow

Live streaming is all the rage among digital marketers but distribution can be challenging considering the number of possible destinations where videos can be displayed.

Video sharing platform Vimeo is hoping to alleviate the issue with the introduction of two new social distribution tools that are designed to help publishers of video streaming grow and expand their audience.

The new "Publish to Social" feature, for example, will allow creators to natively publish their videos to Facebook and YouTube with one click but the new Simulcast feature is really how the company hopes to improve the distribution efforts of creators.

The new feature lets users simultaneously stream live events from the Vimeo platform to multiple destinations including Facebook, YouTube, Twitch and Periscope. It's far from a perfect solution however as video creators can only choose to publish to either Facebook or YouTube and not both. For example, you'll be able to simulcast to YouTube and Vimeo (or Facebook and Vimeo) but not Vimeo, YouTube AND Facebook.

Both new features are available to users on one of the company's paid plans. The company also noted that more social platforms will be added in the coming months.
