SixApart and WordPress - Together At Last

Blog software provider SixApart (makers of Movable Type, TypePad, and Vox and developer of Blogs.com) has released several plugins created specifically for WordPress users.

WordPress users will now be able to use TypePad Connect, a free, community-based plugin that enables weblog users to sign in and create profiles using the same ID they use for Google, Facebook, Yahoo or OpenID accounts. TypePad Connect also provides threaded comments, avatars, member profiles on a site, and built-in SPAM protection from TypePad AntiSpam - similar to Akismet. WordPress users looking for ways to monetize their sites will now also be able to use the SixApart Media WordPress Plugin, a plugin for the company's advertising network that promises bloggers total control over the ads appearing on their site.
