Social Network for Re-purposed Goods Launches E-Commerce Marketplace

Posted on 7.05.2015

In the last few years, various social networks have made the transition into the e-commerce marketplace with purchasing options directly from their pages.

UpcylePost, a social sharing site, is the latest to announce the launch of a consumer marketplace.

For those unfamiliar with the social site, UpcyclePost’s goal is to inspire people to reuse and repurpose materials and products they already own into something new and useful. When the site first launched it was a place where users were able to post ideas to inspire people, but now users are able to purchase the items they see. Using a card layout style similar to Pinterest, users are able to browse a variety of categories and purchase products that peak their interest.

“I think UpcyclePost is fantastic,” said artisan Andrew Chase, a sculptor and photographer based in Utah. “Having ones work displayed in a well-designed, professionally executed website will be a huge benefit to most artists, removing a large source of stress and distraction and allowing them to focus on making art.”
