Socialbakers Bolsters its Platform with New Acquisition
Popular social media analytics company Socialbakers is bolstering its platform with the company’s acquisition of EdgeRank Checker, a provider of social analytics for Facebook’s News Feed.
Through the acquisition, Socialbakers will welcome EdgeRank Checker’s client portfolio, which is made up of more than 700 Fortune 500 companies and entertainment brands. That said, EdgeRank Checker will continue to be offered as a self-service product on Socialbakers’ website, as well as will be offered as a module in future releases of Socialbakers’ analytics. The acquisition follows the company's announcement of $26 million in funding from Index Ventures for product development and international expansion.

Acquiring EdgeRank Checker allows us to do this in one stroke."
The acquisition will enable Socialbakers to provide brands with deeper insights into Facebook News Feed performance. Moreover, EdgeRank Checker will provide a domestic development team to complement Socialbakers’ international development offices in Europe.
