SpendSmart Builds Out Loyalty System with TechXPress Acquisition

Digital customer loyalty system SpendSmart Networks has acquired the e-commerce solutions division of TechXpress, inc for a combination of stock and cash equal to $1.2 million.

TechXpress provides website, e-commerce and mobile app development as well as Web marketing tools and analytics. SpendSmart will integrate those solutions into its existing loyalty program offering.

“We believe this acquisition uniquely positions SpendSmart as an integrated, advanced digital customer loyalty solutions provider,." said Alex Minicucci, CEO of SpendSmart. "We identified healthy demand within our existing base of merchants for web solutions, which led us to seek an expansion of our current platform. This division of TechXpress has an extensive client base and years of experience providing premier web/eCommerce design and services, primarily to consumer goods manufacturers and resellers."

Combining TechXpress' capabilities with its mobile customer loyalty system will result in a more comprehensive suite of digital engagement solutions for SpendSmart, including the ability to offer strategic marketing services that leverage its existing data collection and analytics solutions, delivering greater intelligence and insights to its business network and customers’ purchasing behavior and overall experience, as well as close the transaction loop by guiding consumers to its new mobile/Web/e-commerce platform.
